Gustoso opens new deli
in West Hampstead
On the 22nd of October 2007 we opened our second delicatessen in West Hampstead, two and a half years after we opened the first one in Maida Vale.
As usual we celebrated the opening with a Champagne reception for our customers – new and old, and thus far things have been going very well! One customer mentioned to me on the first night "thank God you are here I have been waiting for a proper deli around here for 15 years,". In our first week I had to double the number of staff we had at our kitchen to cope with the demand and now we are looking at starting two shifts – day and night to keep NW London fed! Those of you who know the original shop will find the new shop less cluttered yet with a larger product range, due mainly to the fact that there is twice the floor space!
Following the success of the second shop we are already thinking about shop three. Please email Gustoso and let us know if you know anywhere which is lacking – we are currently thinking about Queens Park and Belsize Park.
